Description: In this mystical scene, the spirit of Chief Crazy Horse—on his gallant mount— is pointing eastward in the Black Hills of South Dakota. The title conjures up the chief’s own words. Allen first photographed the sculpture of a mounted chief used in a large Eckman piece called “Prairie Edge Powwow”, to accomplish this piece. He did a digital composite from photos of his sculpture and the photo he took high in the Black Hills. Crazy Horse was born somewhere along Rapid Creek near present day Rapid City, South Dakota.
