Description: This is a buffalo hunt scene where a mounted Plains Indian hunter named Running Elk is wearing an elk horn headdress and hunting with a bow. At full gallop on the prairie the hunter is fitting an arrow to his bow while holding another in his mouth. Overhead an eagle soars and in the foreground lays a buffalo skull near a prickly pear cactus. The piece was accomplished by Allen first photographing the sculptures of each individual piece; hunter, buffalo, eagle, rocks, grass, buffalo skull, and prickly pear cactus.
