Standing Elks Vision-Painting

Plains Indian Prints

<<Back | Prints | Next>>

Description: This is a convincing image resembling an oil painting on canvas of a Plains Indian Warrior with bow and arrow and elk horn headdress hunting as a golden eagle soars above. The elk hunter has a vision of a bull elk and cow together. Actually the Indian figure is a "Warrior in the Wind" called "The Elk Hunter". The elk is another piece called "A Kiss for His Majesty. These as well as the eagle, rocks and grass were first created as separate white cast paper sculptures. After composing digitally Allen applied some transparent oil painting techniques over the 2-D sculptured image and sky to finish the newly created image for this original print.
