Print: Teton Booty- Digital Oil on Canvas Giclee

Description: Allen won the Gold Medal for the Digital Art Category at the National Veterans Creative Arts Festival in 2009 for his “Teton Booty” (digital oil on canvas giclee).  It is another one of his combination sculpture and landscape (composite) paintings like “Standing Elks Vision” and “The Prayer Warrior,” only much larger in presentation. Allen took the landscape photo of the Grand Tetons just outside of Jackson, Wyoming, on a very cold winter day just after a snow fall.  The horse tracks were actually that of a moose that passed that way just before the picture was taken.  This winter scene shares the story of a lone Blackfoot Warrior far from camp, who apparently surprised a lone trapper and took his goods as a prize for his victory.  Allen explains just how he created this beautiful creation on stretched canvas in the pages below.
