“Warriors in the Wind” are one-of-a-kind original sculptures by Allen and Patty Eckman using, their trademarked process. The Eckman Method® of Fine Art Cast Paper Sculpture is museum quality (acid-free). These works are created in scales ranging from 1/6, 1/4, 1/3, 1/2 to life-size. All are relief wall hangings, the majority of which are one-third life-size, sold in an acrylic box (18″x 24″x 5.5″) relief. This size piece takes the artists 60-80 hours each to complete. The pieces here represent only a fraction of the hundreds of Warriors in the Wind completed by Patty and Allen since 1996. Nine years after they beginning their process and Eckman Fine Art (started in1987). Allen does all of the male figures, and some of the female and children in this series, while Patty does only the women and children. Note: The piece you select will not be exactly like the one shown, as each is a one-of-a-kind original. We encourage the viewer to select features from a few of these past pieces to be combined; like pose, regalia, headdress etc. This can make some nice unique features for your new piece. But, if you want to have one closely resembling those below, that can be done as well. You can commission one of these at any size for $800. With that you get a comprehensive sketch or photo comp of what your piece will look like. That “comp” is included in the price of the piece. Then terms of payment and schedule will be decided, and the piece will be created. It takes time to create these pieces, and often that makes payment more convenient. If you want to pay the total up front, there will be no cost for shipping. It is customary for short-term commissions to have 50% paid to start the project, with the balance being due upon completion (with shipping costs). Long-term payments are accepted in thirds.
