Description: In this buffalo hunt scene, a mounted Plains Indian hunter named Running Elk is wearing an elk horn headdress and hunting with a bow. At full gallop on the prairie, the hunter is fitting an arrow to his bow while holding another in his mouth. Overhead, an eagle soars. In the foreground lays a buffalo skull near a prickly pear cactus. The image was accomplished by Allen photographing the sculptures of each individual piece; hunter, buffalo, eagle, rocks, grass, buffalo skull, and prickly pear cactus. This special print is signed and numbered, and printed on archival photo paper with archival inks.
