Allen and Patty Eckman have worked in the medium of cast paper sculpture since 1987 and are internationally recognized as the premier artists working in the medium today. They reside and work in Rapid City, South Dakota and have their work represented in fine art galleries there as well as in others around the country. Allen and Patty receive a number of commissions a year and the Eckmans have won numerous awards for their art and have been collected by many museums, corporations and private collectors. They have had scores national and international features in books, magazines, television and radio over the last 25 years and have seen their accomplishments go viral on the internet. Many artists are learning cast paper sculpture using the Eckman Method, a registered trademark of Eckman Fine Art and Allen and Patty Eckman.

The exhibition includes their first creations completed over 32 years ago with over 50 progressive works in an evolutionary time line to the present day including a free standing life-size figure of an Indian Chief, standing on a rock, holding up a buffalo skull. The piece is 10' high and was just completed for the exhibition. Subjects are primarily Western Art and Wildlife but also include military, use of color and some 2 dimensional works. Most of the pieces are sizable but at least three are monumental in size. There will be hands on examples of their hand made acid free paper and casts as well as video documentation of their lives and works and video demonstrations of their process.
